Did you know that the Royal Maritime Hotel was originally called the Portsmouth Royal Sailor's Home Club and has been providing welfare and leisure facilities to seamen and their families since the early 19th century ? It survived two world wars and total physical destruction in 1942. We provide rooms for the monthly Veterans Outreach Support Open Days, family and individual counselling, group therapies and ship and military reunions for all Servicemen and women, Merchant mariners and their families, as well as many charity events and Respite holidays.
